Connecting to Electricity Using the Internet

On Tuesday June 19, the presenter will be John Maserjian, of Central Hudson, to present "Connecting to Electricity using the Internet."

This program will deal with electrical energy issues and conservation. The program will use the Hyde Park Free Library's website to direct you information about these topics. Compact fluorescent light bulbs will discussed as one of the ways to conserve electricity to lower electrical bills and help to reduce "brown-outs" and "black-outs."

The use of energy efficient devices such as refrigerators and air conditions will also be discussed along with information about government programs that provide rebates for purchasing energy efficient devices.
