Historical Research using the Internet:
In Search of En Corps

In 1942, the first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt visited Allied troops in Australia. A gift of a kangaroo hide binder containing "En Corps" documents was presented to her. This gift was thought to be lost, but then found in Hyde Park through the work of
Justin Taylan doing research for a book he was writing.

Presenter: Justin Taylan,
Author, Videographer, and Historical Researcher

Justin Taylan, as a teenage author of "No Place for a Picnic," was the recipient of the New York State Archive Research Award in 1994, for his essay entitled "In Search of En Corps."
The program highlights the importance of library archiving to preserve historical artifacts and documents.

This program will use the Hyde Park Free Library's
