Hudson River Estuary sign

The Hudson River Estuary sign demarks the watershed region. The Hudson River watershed or drainage basin has been formed by both stream erosion and glaciation. An esutary is a drowned river valley effected by tidal changes. The sturgeon, the fish depicted on the sign, once thrived in the Hudson River. Sturgeon, still inhabit Hudson Estuary waters, but in far fewer numbers.

Program re-scheduled for:
Tuesday, September 18,
at 7:00 p.m.
at the library.
