Join Hyde Park and Staatsburg Libraries with Salmon of Knowledge in welcoming Dennis Rush, local poet, writer, and visual artist for a night of music and poetry. Dennis sets famous works to Appalachian folk inspired tunes in order to humanize poems that may have lost their relatability through time, language, and historical context. Featuring poems spanning from John Donne to Elizabeth Bishop this event will make you feel as though you are hearing these old, familiar poems for the first time.
