“The Secret of the Stars” combines classic poetry from “Spoon River Anthology”, read by Prudi Garcia Renart, with classical guitar music written to accompany them by Terry Champlin. These little vignettes by Edgar Lee Masters were considered a major event in American literature when they were first published in 1915 and resonate as strongly today. Prudi’s many years as an actress allow her to capture the universal aspects of the characters.
